GIULIANA LOGLISCI

I was born in Matera, Italy, yet my heart has always been captivated by the allure of Africa: its untamed, magnificent creatures, the vibrant tapestry of costumes, the rhythmic cadence of traditions and music, the enigmatic tribes with their ancient mythologies. It was a dream and a utopia, a longing that took root in my youthful imagination. As a child, my world was painted in vivid hues and boundless creativity, my means of transcending the constraints of reality into a realm of my own making.

Fuelled by dreams and a yearning for adventure, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery to the vibrant city of London at the age of eighteen. With a family legacy in the jewelry business dating back to 1899, my fascination with the world of gemstones was deeply ingrained. I pursued my passion at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in London, and later, in 2014, I found my home in Bangkok, where I completed my studies and became a certified gemologist. The world of gemstones became an enduring passion, and my career began to take shape.

In 2016, I took a leap of faith and established my own company in Bangkok, introducing the world to Lucy G. Jewelry. Drawing inspiration from Italy’s vibrant color palette, my brand harmoniously blends radiant diamonds, lustrous gold and an array of precious gemstones. Lucy G. is a luxury jewelry and prêt-à- porter brand.

It was in December 2022 that a new vision began to take form—one that would bridge my childhood dreams with my lifelong passion for art and culture. That’s when the first idea of the Bahati Project was born. It was time to give life to the visions that had long lived in my mind—a bold, soulful expression of art, storytelling, and purpose inspired by the spirit of Africa.

"UNVEILING THE ENCHANTING TALES OF AFRICA THROUGH LUXURY JEWELRY"

MY VISION

In December 2022, the Bahati Project sparked to life—an idea that grew into an unfolding reality, shaped step by step with intention and passion. More than a collection of works, it is a limitless canvas where artistry flows freely, where high-end jewelry merges with the mystique of African culture and tribal art.

The Bahati Project is not just jewelry—it is an evolving symphony of artistic expression. A meeting point where craftsmanship, sound, and visual storytelling converge, uniting musicians, photographers, and painters in a shared creative rhythm. Each piece is more than adornment; it is a singular work of art, a tangible extension of my imagination. To bring this vision to life, I have gathered a team of master artisans and skilled goldsmiths in the vibrant energy of Bangkok, where each creation is meticulously crafted into existence.

Yet, Bahati is more than something to be worn—it is an experience. One that I dream of bringing into the physical world through exclusive events where guests step into a multi-sensory journey. Here, art is not merely seen; it is felt, heard, and lived. Each piece carries a soul, woven with stories drawn from authentic African mythology and traditions. To deepen this storytelling, I have composed—and continue to produce—a collection of soundtracks, each intricately linked to a specific creation. These musical narratives breathe life into the pieces, transforming them into living, resonant stories. I am currently seeking art galleries that align with this vision, spaces that will embrace Bahati as an immersive expression of culture, artistry, and sound.

But Bahati is more than art—it is a movement with a purpose. At its core lies a deep commitment to empowering young African communities through the creation of a private art school—a sanctuary where gifted children can explore their creative potential and receive the support to shape their futures. I believe that life’s beauty is amplified when shared, and through Bahati, I hope to pass this light forward.

The name Bahati, meaning “good luck” in Swahili, carries with it a wish—may this project bring prosperity, inspiration, and transformation to all who cross its path. Whether as a creator, a collaborator, or an admirer, may you feel the essence of Bahati—a journey that transcends art, connecting us through beauty, purpose, and shared dreams.
